MONEY TO START A BUSINESS - WHERE TO GET IT FROM?

There are opportunities to profitably finance your first business. It should be noted that such opportunities have continued to increase over the years. Classic methods are available, but also more alternative ones. Over the many years of supporting our customers on their way to owning their own business, we have completed a very large number of orders for equipment for sewing rooms and tailoring studios (both small and larger ones).

We can suggest that the most popular forms of funding for setting up a business that you use include:

EU grants

You can apply for a different amount of grant from each of these sources. You must ensure that you meet the specific requirements and go through the appropriate procedure for each source.

The procedures themselves are more or less complicated, but the award of such a grant rewards the time spent in preparation.

SUBSIDIES FROM THE LABOUR OFFICE

A grant from the Labour Office is the most frequently chosen option. It is a relatively simple and quick procedure. It is necessary to meet several conditions (among others, to have the status of an unemployed person (to register at the district labour office) and not to have been running a business for at least 12 months.

You have to submit an application together with a business plan to the PUP. In this case, you can apply for more than PLN 31,000 in subsidies. In addition to the grant, the benefit is that no tax is incurred on it.

UNION GRANTS

This is a slightly more complicated procedure (3 stages: submission of a recruitment form, a training cycle and submission of a business plan). You also have to belong to one of the following categories of people: unemployed, economically inactive, immigrants, re-emigrants, those leaving agriculture + their families, the working poor (with earnings not exceeding the minimum wage), people with disabilities, those employed on short-term contracts.

The maximum amount of funding is approximately PLN 20-23 thousand, but one can also count on bridge support, i.e. additional money paid for 6 to 12 months (its amount is PLN 1-2 thousand).

GRANTS FOR EQUIPPING A TAILOR'S STUDIO - WHAT DO YOU NEED?

First of all - an IDEA.

This is the most important thing! The idea should be original enough to stand out from the competition. You need to know exactly what you want to do and be able to justify your idea. A well thought-out and planned project is the basis for success.

Secondly - SELECTING A PROGRAMME

The next step is to find the right programme from which you will receive a grant. At this point, there is no need to think twice, just use the very helpful grant search engine at www.funduszeeuropejskie.gov.pl. Here you will find detailed information about the subsidies in the individual provinces, as well as the application procedures and deadlines. You can also have a look at the websites of the Employment Offices relevant to where you live and/or operate your business.

Thirdly - FILLING OUT THE DOCUMENTATION

In order to obtain a grant you need to carefully fill in all the documents required for your chosen programme. Make sure you do not miss anything and keep track of the call dates. You can find helpful instructions at this stage on the institutions' websites.

Fourthly - APPLYING

If we have everything filled in and prepared? We can submit the application. You have to submit it in the right place and by the deadline.
